Critics calling for Redskins to lose the name

Last week, an appeals court in Washington upheld a lower court’s decision in favor of the football team over a group of American Indians who contended the club’s trademark is racially offensive. The ruling did not address the racial aspects of the case; the U.S. Court of Appeals issued its decision on a technicality, that the suit had been filed too long after the team was granted a trademark on the name in 1967. Of course there is some PC person/persons out there that would challenge this. What greater way to pay tribute to a group then to name an NFL franchise after them? Granted the NFL is probably more concerned about losing identity revenue than insulting someone, but still…

We at JockJoose are tolerant and cognizant of all types of people, but think that bringing that type of discussion into sports is poop. If anything, rag on the Cleveland Indians logo….

Cleveland's dilemma

JockJoose has our own demand and that is more Skins cheerleader pictures!

I can think of a number of suggestive terms for the redskins team name.
