Brett Favre took the next step in his embarrassing comeback by attempting to come up with early excuses for him imminent failure with the Minnesota Vikings.

“I may not finish the year,” he said Wednesday. “No one thought I’d play 18 straight years without missing a game, me included. I have no idea what’s going to happen. None.”

“I’m not going to lie to you. I’m not physically or mentally 100 percent. I don’t know at 39 if I’d ever be 100 percent physically.”

Nice work Brett. Now go lose Minnesota a championship and Brad Childress a head coaching job.

Favre season forecast: 11 TDs, 17 Ints in 11 games.
