Killer bees swarm Petco Park
July 3rd, 2009 by why be athletic | Posted in baseball | 26 viewsThursday’s ballgame between the San Diego Padres and Houston Astros was delayed due to a massive attack on the stadium by a swarm of killer bees. The ballgirl was to blame as she smuggled in the queen bee in her Padres jacket. The rest of the bloodthirsty bees followed their leader. Surprisingly enough, the bees only attacked fans not sporting official MLB attire and those players who were batting under .250.
Oddly, first baseman Darin Erstad was not attacked despite batting only .163 this year. It is assumed that the bees felt badly for Erstad as he is having such a poor season at the plate.
