Manning hits jackpot
August 6th, 2009 by why be athletic | Posted in footbag | 150 viewsEli Manning agreed to a six-year, $97 million contract extension, an average salary of roughly $15.3 million, on Wednesday. The easygoing New Orleans native, who took over as the Giants starter midway through his rookie season in 2004, has proven a worthy No. 1 overall draft pick. In his first four NFL seasons, Manning has won a Super Bowl and was MVP of the game, helped his team to the playoffs all four years and is coming off his first Pro Bowl season.
Wait, you mean Peyton right? Eh.
Not that we are extreme Giants haters, but Eli should not make this type of money. Ten reasons why:
1. His name is Eli. Chicks also have that name.
2. His brother is Peyton Manning. For the record, Peyton makes about 14m a year.
3. He’s spoiled. Case in point – 2004 NFL Draft “holdout”. Help me daddy!
4. He’s never thrown 25 touchdowns in a season.
5. He’s never thrown for 3,500 yards in a season.
6. His completion rate is in the 50′s.
7. He look like he cries alot.
8. Even if he was good, who is he going to throw to?
9. He’s a terrible fantasy pick.
10. He’s the third best quarterback in his family.

what, me worry?
