NFL week five joose
October 9th, 2009 by why be athletic | Posted in football, Gen. Discussion, Sports Betting | 226 viewsSo we weren’t perfect last week and went 9-5 with our picks. But come on…who knew that Jacksonville would explode, Dallas would implode, Mark Clayton would forget how to catch, Pittsburgh would run effectively, and TO wouldn’t catch a single pass?
So here we go again:
B’more over Cincy - Mark Clayton comes back to catch 9 passes for 153 yards.
Buffalo over Cleveland - Mangina still sucks
Washington over Carolina – Portis awakens against a soft D.
Pittsburgh over Detroit – Steelers D crushes any momentum Matthew Stafford has been gaining.
Dallas over KC – Is Dallas really a lock over a bad team anymore? Does Romo miss TO all of a sudden?
NYG over Oakland – Until Oakland shows us something, we are going to just say “Jamarcus Russell blows”. Fantasy owners also hate DMac.
Philly over Tampa - McNabb is back, but Kolb was a fantasy savior for some folks with those yardage numbers.
Minnesota over St. Louise - AP will run for about a thousand yards. Kyle Boller will get eaten by Jared Allen.
San Fran over Atlanta - Close call, but it’s in San Fran and Mike Singletary has his team playing some smashmouth football.
Houston over Arizona - Upset alert. Awaken Steve Slaton and Mario Williams.
New England over Denver - This feels like a father son battle with McDaniels looking to steal one from his mentor. Hell will freeze over before that ever happens. How is New England’s D doing so well with a bunch of old farts and no names?
Jacksonville over Seattle - Hasselbeck may be back, but Jacksonville has some momentum….through the air strangely enough. Jones-Drew = fantasy bust?
Indy over Tennessee - Manning is like a fine wine…getting finer with age, but still gay.
NY Jets over Miami - Even though Braylon Edwards is a jagoff, he will stretch the field. Rex Ryan is proving that he did have something to do with the success of the Raven’s D for so long with what he has done with that Jets D. What a weak Monday night game by the way. Pat White should play more.
