Phelps loses competitive race for first time in life

Michael Phelps placed second in the 200-free Tuesday at the World Championships in Rome, Italy.

Two fun facts:

Winner Paul Biedermann of Germany was wearing a full body suit made of polyurethane (envision something chicks wear which makes you go faster in the water) while Phelps was wearing his traditional Speedo nuthugger. The bodysuit has not been approved for Olympic use.

Phelps hasn’t trained a whole lot. Since his Beijing dominance, he has been partying it up all over the globe. He still was only fractions of seconds off of his world record pace. Germans are weak.
