Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six players and a goalkeeper) pass and bounce a ball to throw it into the goal of the opposing team. The team with the most goals after two periods of 30 minutes wins. Basically an indoor soccer/roundball hybrid. Jockstraps plays a large part in the defensive/protection portion of the game.
There are records of handball games in medieval France, and among the Inuit in Greenland, in the Middle Ages, and in Ancient Africa, primarily Egypt.
