Let’s be real though. The guy has missed four cuts in his whole life at the top level (not counting the Pro-Am withdrawal due to a six month rain delay). Yes, that is a mere 2% of the time he misses the cut, but again, Planet Earth needs to recognize that he is a human. Yes, John Daly even made the cut, but there is still some rust on TW’s game. Couple that with the treacherous Turnberry, a course he has never played, and you can’t expect a whole lot. It’s obvious he is having trouble off the tee or putting or a bit of both, but he is still a golfer eating machine from planet Nike.

Now, if he misses the cut a the PGA Championship, then we’ll talk slump.
